Former finalist of ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Dream Academy, Bunny just unveiled her debut music video “For Your Information’!

Under PolyEast records Bunny continued her singing carreer after being a finalist of Pinoy Dream Academy few years ago. Before Pinoy Dream Academy, Bunny was a singing sensation in Tanjay City Negros Oriental, winning local contests and often asked to sing at weddings and parties. To date, doors of opportunities have opened for Bunny after becoming one of the Top Ten Scholars of PDA Season 2, trained by Maestro Ryan Cayabyab and music professor Kitchie Molina, among others.

Promising artist Sheng Belmonte already revealed the music video of her latest carrier single “Gigil” since last month. Sadly, her music company didn’t post the video online for us fans to enjoy. But no need to feel bad, a nice and kind fan shared an LQ copy through youtube.

I imagined a cute storyline for the music video to complement the song’s lyrics. Surprisingly, the MV revealed a seductive Sheng Belmonte, wearing a sexy black outfit, riding her motorbike. Few scenes also showed her dancing on a pole.

Some netizens commented that the video showed too much skin and had no connection to the song. Others defended the video showcased a modern and western appeal; therefore, it’s creative.

I personally think the video defeated the meaning of the song. The lyrics was full of innocence and modesty, while the video was too provocative. On a positive note, I admired Sheng’s beauty in this video. What a hottie!

Yesterday, duo brothers The Lamars released the music video of their single “Kung Pwede Lang” (If It’s Alright), a refreshing sound from the usual rock music.  Although it’s another torpe song (yes, in OPM, it deserved to be called a genre), the way they sang the lyrics make the song’s message more meaningful.

Composed of Filipino-American brothers Dave and Micah Lamars, the Lamars spent most of their lives in the Philippines. At the age of 7, Dave learned how to play instruments; by the age of 14, he began composing his own songs. Aside from singing, Dave was also an aspiring filmmaker. The acoustic duo started out singing covers in youtube. But now, they signed a contract under MCA Music.

Raised by a missionary family in Quezon, the two young artists owned an orphanage where they take care 40 childrens.

After bagging the main roles in the successful TV version of Bagets, former XLR8 member AJ Mulach and ex-Pop Girls member Nadine Lustre were casted as leading characters of TV remake of P.S. I Love You, a Viva produced film. The iconic 80′s film was originally lead by Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion.

Meanwhile, the two would focus first on the second season of Bagets: Just Got Lucky. After being removed in GMA’s Party Pilipinas, AJ Mulach and Aki Torio of XLR8, and Nadine Lustre and Shy Carlos of Pop Girls were regularly performing on TV5′s Hey, It’s Saberday.

Last March, former Pop Girls member Mar and Lai Harissah revealed they both set to debut on a new girl group under another music company.  Recently, the two girls unveiled the tentative name of their group: G4. Furthermore, rapper Vicc Madrigal and main vocalist Sharien Fructuoso of PoinTen, a korean-filipino girl group, were also part of the new p-pop group. On May 13, Pointen was last seen posing for kpop magazine Sparkling.

Mar and Lai also posted “once we start rehearsing & recording for our new album were going to have regular performances & shows with a certain group parang showdown so may shows na po kmi kahit di pa launched…(On our shows, we’ll perform a showdown with a certain group. We already have shows even though we haven’t debuted yet.)” They also added “p-pop & k-pop din po (We’re also a p-pop & k-pop group)” and “p-pop n posibly goin to korea too.”

After dominating the music charts last April with his hit song “Hey Daydreamer,” new rising artist Somedaydream is gearing up to make a comeback with new single “Delivery Boys.” The song is set to conquer the airwaves on July 18 in the following radio stations: Mellow 94.7, Energy FM 91.5, Barangay LS 97.1, and Wow FM 103.5

Yesterday, Rayver Cruz performed his latest carrier single “143″ live on ABS-CBN’s variety show ASAP. Knowing he’s a good dancer, I was disappointed with his performance.The choreography didn’t fit the song and Rayver danced it with low energy. The whole performance could have been more polished. On a positive note, he didn’t share the stage with other artists except G-Force as his back up dancers.

R&B singer Brenan Espartinez recently unveiled the video lyrics of his new single “Sprung.” His upcoming album Superstar would be released soon under his new record label Audioclef. The music company also housed R&B artist Amber Davis, rock band Salamin, and jazz singer Julianne.

According to Urban Dictionary, sprung meant to fall in love with a person in a short span of time. It was characterized by a great obsession. For instance, you would do anything to please her even the things you don’t usually do . You couldn’t also get her out of your mind. The term was popularized by T-Pain in 2005 with his song “I’m Sprung.”

Brenan was best known for his role Agatom in ABS-CBN’s educational show Sineskwela. In 2008, he won 1st Runner Up on GMA’s singing competition Pinoy Pop Superstar. He also used to be part of the defunct variety show SOP. To get to know Brenan more, watch his webisodes here.

After conquering the Philippine music scene with ‘Jeepney Love Story’ and ‘Wag Na’ and also the MYX Music Awards last year. Yeng Constantino has just released her follow-up single “Siguro” (Maybe).

“Siguro” is part of Yeng’s 3rd studio album “Lapit” which was released last 2009! The video tells about the girl who is inlove with her professor.

Meanwhile, Yeng Constantino is now preparing for her 4th studio album which will be release this year, so, stay tuned for that!

Few weeks ago, we reported about Rodjun Cruz career changed from an ASAP dancer to a member of new pop group Sakto.

Recently, his brother Rayver Cruz, who gained success on the acting field, followed him and entered the local music industry as well. Being a solo act and a known actor, many listeners would have expected to be another untalented wannabe singer singing revivals or crappy boring ballads. However, it was shocking that his album was compromised of nice  modern ballads and upbeat pop music.

Well, Rayver started out as a member of dance group Anime and a regular dancer on ASAP. Therefore, he’s a great dancer but singing was something new. He did a duet before with Maja Salvador with the song “Magkita Na Tayo“(Let’s Meet Each Other).

Released under the label of Sony Music, Rayver’s mini album Rayver was now out in your favourite music store. His single “143″ could now also be listened on the airwaves.
