During our interview with him, Carlo divulged that he will play on the ABS-CBN gameshow “Panahon Ko ‘To! Ang Game Show ng Buhay Ko (It’s My Time! The Game Show of My Life)”, which is hosted by Billy Crawford and Luis Manzano.

He’s not the only member who went to a game show this year. If you guys remember, last May 12, MM Magno picked his date on the GMA dating show “Take Me Out” (find the article here.)

His stint will be shown on September 3, Friday, 4:55 PM (Philippine Standard Time) on the said network.

Here are some facts and information about Wansapanataym that I know…

• Wansapanataym comes from the phrase, “Once Upon a Time“, that is used in story telling and can be found in the start of a fairy tale.
• Wansapanataym is ABS – CBN’s fantasy series, as I remember, it was shown every Sunday night around 7pm onwards (but this is not the original timeslot).
• Last May 2006, it was replayed every morning. It is included in ABS- CBN’s prime tanghali line up.

That time its a replay, but now, IT’s all NEW. NEW Story line, NEW Cast and Characters, UPGRADED Special Effects and many more SURPRISES. Wansapanataym.. One More Taym!! will premiere this September.

After months and months of anticipation, local pop group, XLR8, has finally released the MV of their second single I Love You Girl, from the same album as their previous single, You’re So Hot. I Love You Girl was impressively composed by XLR8′s very own MJ Magno, arranged by Marcus Davis and directed by Trev Monteros II, who also directed You’re So Hot.

The production of this music video beat YSH’s hands down, in this writers opinion (the quality of the Youtube video is a huge plus, I must say) The executed steps were much smoother, considering they had a lot more moving space versus the cramped space they had in their previous music video. I noticed, however, that they weren’t perfectly synched in some parts, fortunately, the last bit with the chairs made up for it. The “old” concept was certainly fitting to the soft, mellow tune of the song. (As I type, I can faintly hear an anti-fan crying, “They sooooo copied *insert popular Kpop group’s name here* black&white concept!!” Uhh, okay. ) Each of the member’s sleek, sophisticated look and aura, had me squinting my eyes in confusion as to, “who is this fiiiiiiiine boy?” To sum it all up, I liked it and I give it a thumbs up. I now look forward to hopefully praising their next MV.

After seeing the MV for I Love You Girl, are you a happily converted fan now? Or not? Or perhaps you’ve always been a fan! Did you like the candy music video as much as Deedee we did? We’d definitely like to hear from you.

Hale

Who would have thought that this hit pop rock group would disband?

Hale gained popularity with their 2004 hit single The Day You Said Goodnight from the self-entitled album Hale.

This was confirmed by the band’s record label, PolyEast Records, to Manila Bulletin. In addition, the group’s disbandment was amicable and inevitable. The disbandment came after Champ Lui-Pio, the leader and vocalist, told the media his decision to go solo and start a career as an actor. He is now recording his new album described by PolyEast Records as “more mainstream, softer; with lots of ballads” .

On the other hand, the other members which are Roll Martinez, Sheldon Gellada and Paolo Santiago have no plans on how they will continue their career as musicians individually or as a group.

After months of waiting, the boys finally released their second carrier single’s music video teaser —- I Love you, Girl!

Last few months ago the group officially named their second carrier single from their debut album —XLR8. Well, talking about the teaser, the video just shows a necklace spinning round and round until it fell on the floor. The fans says the teaser was REALLY a teaser coz now they can’t wait for the music video to be out, did i say NOW?! Anyways, the group is on a classic concept so watch for it!

2. Late in opening and closing of voting

We tried to find the best solutions to these problems and we had arrived to these:

1.  The reason why you guys were always experiencing the problem no. 1 is because  our hosts’  server is having performance issues because they are rolling out a new kernel upgrade and there were too many requests for the server to accept. Our host promised that this upgrade should fix all ongoing problems that popsicles.ph is experiencing.  Aside from that we will implement “Log by IP” method 24 hours before the closing time in voting to minimize server requests.

2. We have agreed to change the time of opening and closing of votes to ensure that problem no.2 won’t happen again. The closing time will now be 12:00 AM Saturday and the opening time will be 12:00 AM Sunday.

This 2 were the only problems we faced this week but we would like to put up the competition to the next level. To insure that there will be a tough competition we will now implement these new rules this week.

3.Songs which have less than 100 votes will be remove in the chart starting this week.

4. Songs can enter in the lists if it gets at least 5 requests.

5. Requested songs will be added in the list a week after it’s being requested.

6. Songs which have been removed can only re-enter if it gets more than 5 requests!
