Popsicles Music Chart New Set of Rules

As we progress to our 2nd week with the new voting system we have encountered 2 problems.
1. Error establishing a database connection

2. Late in opening and closing of voting

We tried to find the best solutions to these problems and we had arrived to these:

1.  The reason why you guys were always experiencing the problem no. 1 is because  our hosts’  server is having performance issues because they are rolling out a new kernel upgrade and there were too many requests for the server to accept. Our host promised that this upgrade should fix all ongoing problems that popsicles.ph is experiencing.  Aside from that we will implement “Log by IP” method 24 hours before the closing time in voting to minimize server requests.

2. We have agreed to change the time of opening and closing of votes to ensure that problem no.2 won’t happen again. The closing time will now be 12:00 AM Saturday and the opening time will be 12:00 AM Sunday.

This 2 were the only problems we faced this week but we would like to put up the competition to the next level. To insure that there will be a tough competition we will now implement these new rules this week.

3.Songs which have less than 100 votes will be remove in the chart starting this week.

4. Songs can enter in the lists if it gets at least 5 requests.

5. Requested songs will be added in the list a week after it’s being requested.

6. Songs which have been removed can only re-enter if it gets more than 5 requests!
