Big Brother Double Up: The Three Sacrifices

|

This week three housemates were faced with a new challenge, to sacrifice for a friend. This sacrifice will allow a certain housemate the opportunity to tie up loose ends with someone important to them.

Paul Jake was the first housemate who was presented with the task. He must imitate Marielle’s actions, narrated by Big Brother, exaggeratedly. When the signal is given, he must also freeze right on the last position he is in and only move when told to. He had to endure the uncomfortable positions he was in for several minutes. Marielle, unbeknownst that this was for her to talk things through with her partner, would constantly fan Paul Jake in hopes of easing his pain.

Jason’s task was to walk for 1,053 minutes, approximately 17 hours. The 1,053 minutes is the same distance in kilometer of the Big Brother house from General Santos City. He had 15 minute breaks every so often. After 10 hours, however, he felt dizzy and had a slight fever. Big Brother, worried for his health, gave him the opportunity to continue his walk the next morning. All through this sacrificial task of his, Melisa was by his side, keeping him company. Unaware that Jason’s sacrifice was for her to be given the chance to clear things up with her ex-boyfriend, Roy.

The last housemate who was given a sacrificial task was Tibo – though his was the least dramatic of the three. His sacrifice was, ironically, to be hairless. Yes, that’s right. He was asked to thread his armpits in order for Johan to be able to settle his issues with his father. (Talk about anticlimactic.) And all while the threading was happening, Johan and the rest of the housemates were simply watching Tibo from the plasma.

Paul Jake, Jason and Tibo’s sacrifices were certainly not easy. May their sacrifices be given due justice by Marielle, Melisa and Johan bye settling their past issues.
